There are several options for marching band trips when it comes to performance venues in Disneyland. Marching bands can perform in a parade, on a Disney stage or to an international audience. Disney actually provides programs for instrumental, vocal and dance groups – not just marching bands. The venue selected by the trip leader will reflect the needs of the group.

    Disneys California Adventure
Located in the heart of Anaheim, California, this Disney theme park presents classic Disney characters and new stars coming alive in a multimedia and interactive setting. Fat Loss Courses, Burn Off Fat The Right Way

It really is unavoidable that a great deal of your time at Walt Disney World are going to be spent queuing up at some attraction or another. Together with your continual enjoyment in mind, nonetheless, the revolutionary minds at Disney have come up with active queues to form the waiting around nicer. Soarin’ and Space Mountain have already been fitted with video games. To get you in the mood for the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror ride, themed designs and an exciting pre-show is staged when you wait.

Brand new on the list of “boosted” queues will be the Haunted Mansion ride at Disney. Guests are not needed to enjoy the new additions, but rather can pick to wait in the classic line, which is a little shorter – or they can wander the new attractions that await them in a slightly more meandering line. Though this line is a tiny bit lengthier, it won’t turn out experiencing that way as there is a great deal to do while you wait around!

    New and Better Queue

Precisely what does this exclusive, new queue have to give you? First, you’ll discover yourself face to face with the Dread Family busts the instant you enter the modern queue area. These very realistic-looking busts don’t move or talk, but you can touch . . . if you dare! You can find poems written on plaques on the pedestals that hold the busts. Scan these poetry mindfully because every one will take you a step closer to fixing the mystery of the Dread Family killings.

    Moving On

Besides this bust mystery game, many of the gravestones – additionally eerily realistic – are making their way into the queue for you to examine, and to scare the heebeegeebees out of you! Watch out for Madame Leota’s gravestone as it leads you to the next section of the queue.

In this fresh portion of the queue, perhaps the emergency exit is intelligently disguised as a creepy spinning staircase that winds by tombs dedicated to a few of the Imagineers whose hard work made this brand new “waiting in line” experience possible.

    Interactive Attractions on the Queue

Three of the family members obtain own special attractions in this fresh queue. First, you can find magical musical instruments that play if you touch them inside a mausoleum. As you play the “Ravenscroft” organ, it’s going to randomly shoot water your way even as it originates the name of the singer and voice actor for which the mausoleum is specialized in.

When you have had enough excitement, then you’re able to go to Captain Culpepper Clyne’s crypt and explore. You’ll be treated to sea shanty sounds, but look out – some holes will quickly leak water before you know it! You can spend time trying to plug them with your fingers, only to be very impressed at where a new jet of water comes shooting out!

If you have had an adequate amount of getting wet from all of these two interactive attractions, then you’re able to look at another mausoleum, this time Poet Prudence Pock’s. You will read a plaque conveying her tragic death as a result of writer’s block. You will also stroll by what appears to be carvings of library shelves, but don’t be blown away when the books in the carvings start popping out irregularly. You may try being the hero and push the books back in, but then all the more will just come out. And lastly, you also get to help the decreased with her writer’s block. As she writes, it is possible to shout out lines to keep her work, and she uses them to carry on her masterpiece.

Certainly, the brand new queue helps make waiting far more manageable, or maybe more pleasant. It might even seem that queue is an element of the ride itself. Possibly you’ll wind up choosing the shorter, more uninteresting line, but even if you find yourself feeling that way, the revolutionary and improved Haunted Mansion queue is worth giving a try – it is some scary fun all of your family will love!

Ever Wondered What Happens Behind the Walt Disney World Resort’s Curtains?

On the surface, it’s all magic. However, are you adult enough to see the inner workings of what makes the magic happen at Walt Disney World? The resort offers an unique, day-long peek behind the curtain at the fantastic entertainment center. It is for adults only. The Backstage Magic Tour goes on for six to eight hours and is restricted to individuals upwards of 16. Lunch is with the package. This tour charges $224 per person.

    Can You Take It?

You’re an adult now and you can handle it. Who would not wish to look behind the scenes? On Disney’s Backstage Magic Tour, you have the chance to look at how the magic occurs backstage at Epcot, the Magic Kingdom, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Generally, these zones are restricted. And no photos are sanctioned backstage.

The day-long tour commences at Epcot in the morning. Even then it’s special because the park isn’t even available yet and barely anyone is around. You meet the guide and get headsets so that you can hear the guide without him or her having to yell. Kind of makes you think about what’s about to come next, no?

Following a tour backstage at Epcot, you find a private bus waiting for you and your group behind the Seas Pavilion. The bus brings you to World Showcase. Don’t worry about how ordinary the backs of the buildings look. You know that on the other side of the building, it is magical. At the American Adventure in the World Showcase, your guide tells you about the building and the attraction, as well as the mechanics of the show.

    Costumes and Wigs

From the American Adventure, you go to the Cast Center. Gosh, look at all those costumes! The Cast Center is where the costumes are kept till they’re worn out by the cast members. Let us hope you did not think those were all real-life characters wandering around in Disney World. The guide will fill you in on what it is like to be a cast member. You may even catch a glimpse of a character getting dressed for work. Yes, characters have to work, as well. You probably already knew that princesses don wigs. You will see a lot of princess wigs prepared for the princesses to put on. Did you have any idea that there were that many princesses, innumerable individuals working at Walt Disney World?

At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the guide will take you through the costuming department where the majority of the cast costumes are made. You likely never imagined that they utilize computers to render the costumes. They do.

    Lunch at Whispering Canyon

After Hollywood Studios, the tour group travels to Wilderness Lodge for lunch at Whispering Canyon Cafe. Lunch is included in the price of the tour, of course. The cast members, known as waitresses in the real world, are great characters and could be particularly engaging on the Backstage Tour.

    Next up Magic Kingdom

The Backstage Tour comprises of trips to backstage buildings where, for example, the laundry is carried out for all of Disney World. That is a lot of laundry. Another building, Holiday Services, keeps all the trimmings for Christmas and other holidays. At Central Shops, the vehicles for those spine-tingling rides are manufactured and kept in good working order. (You likely believed all that occurred by magic, right?) Just visualize finding logs for Splash Mountain and honey pots for Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh being manufactured. You will also learn how audio animatronic figures function and even have an opportunity to play with a few of them.

Last comes the Utilidors. What’s that, you ask? These are the underground tunnels beneath the Magic Kingdom that service Disney World’s most well-loved theme park. Here you truly have to use your vision, because what you find is basically painted cinder block walls. But well, how does a treasure cave look? A cave, isn’t it?

You wanted backstage, and that is what backstage looks like.

    A Terrifying Disney Experience

Let’s face it: Walt Disney World could be creepy. No matter how old you are, several of us have been afraid at one time or another in our lives by some Disney fantasy. That is included in the experience. There wouldn’t be any thrills, any suspense, or any story if there were not some fear involved in the fantasy.

But what if you are in charge of little kids? How do you prepare a trip for young individuals that will not result in them being so frightened that they refuse to ride or see anything at Disney World again?

Even grown-ups get spooked at Disney World. But adults possess the capability to recover easily, laugh it off, and continue on. Little kids don’t possess the same capability to discern between what’s true and what is fictitious.

    Snow White’s Scary Adventure

Truly, Snow White’s Scary Adventure does promote itself as a “scary adventure.” Nonetheless, this is an attraction that, similar to a lot of stuff in life, seems like it is going to be a cheerful fantasy featuring bluebirds and rainbows. A lot of parents step into the queue with their small kids anticipating a sweet sort of experience only to have their kids spooked by what turns out to be something dark and morbid.

Fear is one thing the Walt Disney Imagineers knowingly build into the Disney experience. Fear is what helps ignite the change from reality to fantasy.

However, too much fear at too small an age can be counter-productive. If your four-year-old is so terrified by the Snow White attraction that he or she will not go on any attraction that looks or begins in the same manner, then you have a problem. The Peter Pan attraction might be one of the most adorable, gentlest attractions at Disney World. But if your 4-year-old feels that it looks too much like that scary Snow White one, Peter Pan is going to be a no-go.

Scares for Teens and Adults Alike

Without fear “The Happiest Place on Earth” would be pretty dull. In order to transport you from your daily reality, the Imagineers have to include a bit of darkness and dread.

It’s a demonstration of the competence of the Imagineers that they are able to develop attractions that can scare both teenagers and adults. Some of these attractions include: Tower of Terror, It’s Tough To Be A Bug, The Great Movie Ride, Expedition Everest, Stitch’s Great Escape, and probably the most frightening of all, Dinosaur.

These attractions possibly would be way too sinister or too violent to be by little kids. Other attractions that likely will impede the young ones’ future amusement in Disney World: Honey, I Shrunk the Audience; Haunted Mansion, Thunder Mountain, Great Movie Ride, and Bug’s Life.

Read Through the Official Disney World Guide for Pre-Schoolers

To be able to discover the attractions that are suitable for very young children, Disney has published a guide that will let you steer clear of attractions that might sabotage your and your children’s experience of Disney World. The guide can help direct you towards the attractions that will be age-appropriate to your child and ensure a happy, minimally stimulating fantasy.

It’s a good idea to plan your trip with small children by checking out this guide first or bringing it with you.

However, a great precept is: when you are in doubt, it’s likely better to skip it.

Arriving at Disney World’s Animal Kingdom

Being within Disney World’s Animal Kingdom is like being inside a live storybook – it was really made to give the visitors that kind of vibe. Wondering what’s genuine and what’s not is what most people will encounter, and this is how the Imagineers did it: they developed the Animal Kingdom so that guests end up comparing it to reality. This gives you a heightened sense of enjoyment. By understanding just how they came up with something like this, you’ll find that you value their work more.

    Arriving at the Parking Lot

Now this might seem like a mundane place to start. However, this is exactly where you start, anyway. After parking your car, walk to the park, and begin your fantastic experience. Parking lots are big and level.. that’s it, nothing more. Most outdoor parking lots are scorching hot, as well. Nothing exceptional. Unmoving. However, as you look in the direction of where Disney World is, you can see the top part of a thicker forest. Doesn’t that make you long for the cool, teeming-with-life forest? This is your first experience with the designers’ Circle of Life principle.

You ride the tram or the bus and get out near the front gate. People generally don’t look down as they are mesmerized by what they’re seeing ahead, but then you should really set aside a second to look down at your feet. The paving of the parking lot already looks aged. This is, obviously, done in purpose. If you are feeling like nature has played a large function to make the paving look like the way it is, then that is precisely the result they were aiming for. As you continue to walk towards the front gate, you will then notice that you’re no longer walking on the “aged” concrete, but on a colorful path of red and green. This is really a big photograph of the central graphic associated with Animal Kingdom, the Tree of Life.

    Nature Requires Balance

The ticket booth and gateway were built in the American Arts and Crafts style, an architectural movement that revered natural materials as well as things made by hand. Even the inside areas of the buildings away from Animal Kingdom are also created by using the Arts and Crafts architecture. Disney has made great use of Arts and Crafts design. Other than Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the inside of California’s Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa in Anaheim is also designed using the Arts and Crafts concept, but then, this building is so huge that the interior design is maybe not entirely suited in reality.

Right at the entry, you will find various depictions of the numerous types and forms of lions, dinosaurs, and elephants. There’s even a dragon, if you will look more carefully. Right on top of the ticket booth on the left side, you will find another kind of dragon. Dragons are known as creatures of fantasy, and that’s why they are up there. Not only does the Animal Kingdom display genuine animals, extinct or not, but also mythical fantasy animals such as unicorns and dragons, as well. Are you serious? You just found out that unicorns are just imaginary? Even dragons?

    Entering the Story

But now you’ve walked through the gate and you are in the Oasis. You can then feel your heart pumping with excitement. However, the imagineers developed this to not inspire you so much because you will have to find out what lies ahead. They would like you to be part of the tale. They want you to be ready to accept what Walt Disney described as the “Plausible Impossible.” So they want you to definitely cool off first before you get out and have a Safari or Everest adventure, but by making you go through this particular green zone, they’ve subliminally helped you cool-down and unwind even a little bit from all the excitement you’re feeling.

The Oasis pathways wander, deliberating keeping you at a modest pace, so that you can adjust to the marvelous environment. Be observant all the time. Don’t be too content on what you have seen. Because something important is about to be revealed. All of a sudden, you’ll stroll in on the actual Tree of Life! Here the walkway widens so that people can stop and admire this magnificent icon.

As in all of Disney’s theme parks, there is a boundary between the real and the fantasy world. You’ll then find a thin portal that everyone must go through to create a specific shift of mood. After going through this portal, you’ll find yourself in a location where you’ll see a lot of pathways to choose from, each leading to various components and themes of the Animal Kingdom.

Animal Kingdom is very special, compared to the rest of the 4 theme parks of Disney World. In other parks, the destination is actually most important. In the Animal Kingdom, however, the whole trip is priceless. You will sometimes realize this right after the whole adventure as you try to keep the recollections of your whole enchanting journey in your head.

    Trahan had closest Disney shave

While Luke Donald was upstaging the field with his Left Handed TaylorMade Tour Preferred MC Irons at the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Classic on Sunday, nobody was having a closer shave than JD Trahan.
The American, who has had his tour card ever since qualifying in 2005 and has career earnings of $8,626,283, had a bad year this time around with total earnings of $668,166 and had to sink a 22-foot birdie putt on the very last hole of the PGA Tour’s very last tournament of 2011, to finish 125th on the PGA Tour money list and earn his Tour Card for 2012.
Anyone finishing lower than that on this year’s money list will have to go back to Q-school to get back on Tour next year – like luckless Bobby Gates, just $1,431 behind Trahan in 126th place.
In the end, perhaps the biggest winners after World No 1 Donald, whose Disney World victory clinched the 2011 US Money List title, proved to be a youngster from South Korea, Sunghoon Kang, and a veteran who also plays Left Handed TaylorMade Tour Preferred MC Irons on the Seniors Tour, Tom Pernice Jr.
Kang came into the week 141st on the money list and knowing that he needed to finish in a tie for third or solo fourth to retain his card.
When he stood over a birdie chance on the 72nd green, he was sitting in a tie for seventh but was lucky to be in a position whereby he could watch his playing partners putt on similar lines.
While they missed, the Korean youngster, learning lessons from their failed attempts, was able to nail his crucial eight-foot clutch putt for a third place tie and save his Tour card
It was the 24-year-old’s best-ever result on the PGA Tour and moved him up 21 places in the final standings to 120th.
Meanwhile, Pernice Jr, 52, was fifth alternate for the event at the start of the week and found himself at 143rd on the money list.
However, the veteran produced four consecutive rounds in the 60s to join Kang in a tie for third, his card was made safe when Australian Nick O’Hern produced a bogey at the last to slip back into joint-sixth.
Pernice Jr has won twice on the PGA Tour, and once on the Champions Tour, where he has also had no fewer six top-10s this season.
The veteran, who tied for second at the Viking Classic earlier this year, moved 22 spots to 121st on the money list and stated afterwards: “I’m not trying to show anybody anything.
“I’m just out there trying to play the Left Handed TaylorMade Tour Preferred MC Irons. The ball doesn’t know how old you are. I’m just trying to stay out here and compete. I just love the Left Handed TaylorMade Tour Preferred MC Irons.”
Another American veteran, Billy Mayfair, tied up his card when he also joined the tie for sixth, climbing from 127th to 109th in the process, and the only other player to rise into the top 125 was Disney Classic runner-up and former Open Champion Justin Leonard, who made a giant leap of 53 spots to 91st on the back of his first top-10 of the season.
Despite the huge disappointment of slipping back a few places to 126th and missing out on his 2012 Tour Card, the 25-year-old Gates insisted that, it had “been a good year”.
“I learned a lot. I made a lot of mistakes this year and I hope someone’s shining down on me and I can just get through this and regroup for next year.”
